Exploring the Geostrategic Interests of The Bahamas through the Lens of US/China Relations

Register to join GIC on Tuesday, February 1 for a live virtual Executive Briefing held in partnership with the Government & Public Policy Institute (GPPI) at the University of The Bahamas. Our speakers, including R. Evan Ellis, Ph.D., Research Professor of Latin American Studies, U.S. Army War College, will explore the Geostrategic Interests of The Bahamas through the Lens of US/China Relations. The program will take place live on zoom while simultaneously broadcasted on the radio show, Z Live: Off The Record with Zhivargo Laing. Remarks will be made by Mr. Laing as well as GIC Executive Committee Member, Michael Drury, Chief Economist of McVean Trading & Investments, and Rodney Smith, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, University of The Bahamas.

He received his B.S. in economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and did his graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
