Due to weather-related travel problems, Chicago Fed President Charles Evans canceled his attendance July 13 at the Ninth Annual Rocky Mountain Economic Summit in Victor, Idaho, hosted by the Global Interdependence Center. This is the outline of the speech he was to deliver.

Charles L. Evans is the ninth president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. In that capacity, he serves on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve System's monetary policymaking body.
