CCB Institutional Alignment Project Event Series: Climate Change

What are the roles of Central Banks in climate-focused activities? Should discussions and action items around climate change be elevated and advanced?

Join the GIC’s College of Central Bankers for an Executive Briefing exploring Central Banks’ roles in climate change with GIC College of Central Bankers Fellows, Katarzyna Zajdel-Kurowska, Former Board member of the Management Board of the National Bank of Poland, and Christian Noyer, Honorary Governor of the Banque de France. This program, including a live audience Q&A, will be moderated by Kathleen Stephansen, GIC Chair Emeritus, Senior Economist for Haver Analytics, and Trustee of EQAT Trust Funds, plus welcoming remarks from Peter A. Gold, Esq., CCB Chair, GIC Vice Chair, and Principal of TheGoldGroup LLC.

About the Institutional Alignment Project: The College of Central Bankers is actively organizing a multiyear global discussion called the Institutional Alignment Project. This Project is centered around the overarching question of whether national and international policymaking institutions are sufficiently equipped to address the impacts of high debt levels, digital currencies, unsupervised algorithmic trading, inequality, climate change, and changing demographics. This Project will also address whether long-standing international accords need to be modified and/or whether new global agreements are necessary. Working collaboratively, the CCB and its community will be bringing this discussion and other activities to the global stage, beginning with a series of virtual events.
