President of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Academics, and Business Leaders to Discuss Diversity in the Financial Services Industry

 

NEWARK, N.J. –

What: Improving Diversity in the Financial Services Industry – A Holistic View

Where: Rutgers University – Newark Campus, 15 Washington St, Newark, NJ

When: October 19, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Who: This event is hosted in partnership between the Global Interdependence Center, the Federal Reserve System Office of Employee Benefits, and Rutgers School of Business. In addition to a keynote address by John C. Williams, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and remarks from top executives from such firms as Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan Chase, Neuberger Berman and Wells Fargo, the conference will be organized around five important topics intended to cover the full range of issues impacting the level of diversity within the financial services industry:

  • “Preparing Minority and Female Students for Careers in Financial Services – How Are We Doing?”
  • “Recruiting Minority and Female Professionals and Students into Financial Services Firms: Designing a Strategy for Success”
  • “Embracing Diversity Within the Organization – Successful Case Studies”
  • “Breaking Through the Glass Ceiling: Why Don’t We See More Minorities and Women in the Executive Suite?”
  • “Minority and Female Entrepreneurs in Financial Services: What Does it Take to Succeed?”
