Lars Nyberg is deputy governor. He has been appointed by the government to the Board of Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority) and is the Riksbank's representative in the Advisory Technical Committee of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) and the Committee of Global Financial Stability (CGFS) in Basel. Mr Nyberg is an associate professor in economics and has previously been deputy CEO at Svenska Handelsbanken and Swedbank and CEO of Länsförsäkringsbolagens förening.
