Susan Kalla

Susan Kalla is a contributing editor for Forbes and a partner in KHX Investments with holdings in public and private equity and venture capital. She is the co-founder of three mobile startups.  Ms. Kalla was a senior research analyst on Wall Street for a decade, known for her dire predictions on internet stocks before the dot comm collapse. She was an early pioneer at tech brokerages Caris & Company and Soundview Financial Group. She started her analytical career as director of research for McGraw Hill’s NBI before moving into finance. She also held positions in business development for GTE Telephone (now Verizon) and was a staff engineer for PBS. She holds a master’s and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.  She has worked on strategic planning projects for nonprofits with the Harvard Business School Community Partners and on government studies with faculty from Columbia University.  She lectures in the graduate engineering department of Stanford University.
