Founder and CEO, Responsum Health

Andrew Rosenberg is a highly respected health policy expert and innovator, having founded Responsum Health, a groundbreaking patient-focused IT startup, and co-founded Thorn Run Partners (in 2010), a leading Washington, DC-based government relations firm. In addition to his role as CEO of Responsum Health and Founding Partner of Thorn Run, Mr. Rosenberg is an eagerly sought speaker on the subjects of health policy, patient centricity, and their intersection with medical education.

He has served as an advisor to numerous stakeholders across the healthcare sector, including a six-year stint on the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Advisory Board on Clinical Effectiveness and Decisions Science.

In his experience with Responsum health, Mr. Rosenberg has:

  • Conceptualized, launched, and led innovative health IT company that currently provides free, state-of-the-art knowledge apps for disease-specific patient communities.
  • Experience building and managing a diverse set of experts in technology, content curation, patient engagement, and stakeholder involvement to drive strong results.
  • Initial research and prototype app developed in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute Capstone Program.
  • Innovative app platforms built and managed in partnership with leading patient advocacy groups and stakeholders in CKD, pulmonary fibrosis, uterine fibroids, glaucoma, Long COVID, and menopause.
  • Commercial partners include leading healthcare companies such as Abbvie, Aldeyra, Astellas, Otsuka, Galapagos, and Allergan Foundation.
  • Proven ability to develop highly engaging knowledge and community-building apps that far exceed industry standards for user activity and patient engagement.
  • Experience in integrating and utilizing Responsum communities to achieve data collection and clinical trial recruitment efforts.

Mr. Rosenberg is a graduate of Amherst College with a law degree and a masters in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Jenny, and children, Kate and Max.
