Sara Banaszak

Sara Banaszak has 20 years of experience in the energy sector, spanning public policy, consulting and corporate advisory roles. Currently serving as a senior federal affairs adviser for ExxonMobil in Washington D.C., Sara also held senior adviser roles on the company’s corporate issues teams and with its gas and power marketing division.

Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Sara was chief economist and vice president at America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA). Her knowledge of the energy industry ranges across the upstream and downstream arenas and covers policy, regulatory and commercial issues. She has analyzed global liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade, the economic impacts of U.S. energy policies, the economics of oil refining, and published research on oil demand in Asia.

Sara also has substantial experience as a spokesperson, communicating industry information and views to print and broadcast news media. She has addressed such topics as U.S. natural gas production, industry earnings, and gasoline prices. Sara has worked in consulting, directing PFC Energy’s North American Gas Policy Service (GPS) and early in her career with FACTS Global Energy.
