Rhonda Schaffler

Rhonda Schaffler is a multimedia video reporter and anchor for Reuters Insider, a global online, on-demand video service for Reuters’ financial clients. She hosts a daily “Wealth Strategies” program which provides investment ideas and news coverage for high net worth retail and institutional investors. “Wealth Strategies” is one of the most popular programs on Reuters Insider, and has featured such prominent investors as Warren Buffett, Mario Gabelli, Wilbur Ross, bond guru Dan Fuss and hedge fund manager Doug Kass. Rhonda also anchors a weekly show on municipal bonds and reports from various events and conferences.

Prior to joining Reuters, Rhonda worked as an anchor and senior correspondent for CNN and was an anchor at Bloomberg. At CNN, she anchored the financial network’s coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and reported daily from the New York Stock Exchange. While at Bloomberg she covered stories that included Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy and the financial market collapse. Rhonda also worked as an editor and writer and Dow Jones.

Rhonda took a sabbatical from media at worked at the United Nations on a microfinance project in 2005.

She graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. in broadcast journalism and political science.
