Raimondas Kuodis, Ph.D.

Dr. Raimondas Kuodis studied in the faculty of economics and finance of Vilnius University (received a diploma in economic cybernetics) and the Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences of Vilnius University (received a diploma in international relations and political science). In 2002 he completes his PhD.

Having spent a year as a senior economist at the Ministry of Economy, he joined the Bank of Lithuania in 1996, where he (among other positions) was the head of macroeconomics and forecasting division; director of economics department and a member of the board. Since 2011 he is a deputy chairman of the board of the Bank of Lithuania.

Mr. Kuodis teaches at various universities, he is the author of a number of scholarly articles. His research interests lie in macroeconomics, applied general equilibrium modeling, and public economics. He also writes popular articles and commentaries, and runs a website for students. Mr. Kuodis is an active member of the boards of a number of NGOs, and academic/research institutions.
