Patrick Legland

Patrick Legland has held the position of global head of Cross-Asset Research since 2009. The Cross-Asset Research department merges all Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking Research entities, bringing together its 300 strategists, economists, quants and analysts, based in Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris and Tokyo.

Patrick Legland was previously in charge of Global Cash Equity. He joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in January 2003 as head of pan-European equity research. Before joining SGCIB, Patrick Legland was managing director at UBS Warburg and head of its European Technology Research. Between 1993 and 2000, Patrick worked for Paribas Capital Markets, where he was head of Pan-European Research (London), and earlier global head of asian research, based in Hong Kong. Prior to this, Patrick Legland was a financial analyst at Phillips & Drew in London.

Born in 1963, Patrick Legland is a member of the French investment analyst society, SFAF, and has been president of the SFAF’s professional ethics commission. He is also a board member of Club Finance HEC. Patrick is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Lille.
