Matteo Ferrazzi

Formerly a researcher and consultant with the economic think-tank Prometeia, lately he has been senior economist at the research and strategy department of UniCredit Group, following for many years the Italian economy, Central Eastern European countries and their banking sectors. After having developed experience in different fields (CFO area, corporate, investment banking, research and strategy), he now holds a managerial position in the CEE division of UniCredit as head of strategic marketing and business development (first vice president). He studied at the University of Modena, Universitat de Barcelona (Spain), and Bocconi University, where he received the master’s degree in economics (MEc). He is lecturing at the University of Verona (strategies for emerging markets). Moreover, he regularly writes for different magazines/newspapers. He is, indeed, also a professional journalist, member of the Italian “Ordine dei Giornalisti”. He participated as a speaker at around 40-45 international conferences and wrote numerous articles (more than 150), contributions on various books and reports, mainly related to Central Eastern Europe, international economy, strategy and the banking sector. In June 2012 he published a book – Me ne vado a Est – in which he analyses the Central Eastern European economies and collects the experiences of the Italian entrepreneurs operating in the region.
