Larry Kantor

Larry Kantor is a managing director and head of research at Barclays. Based in New York, he is responsible for global research, including commodities, credit, economics, emerging markets, equities, FX and interest rates. He is a member of both the Executive Committee and Operating Committee of Corporate and Investment Banking, and the Markets Management Committee.

Mr. Kantor joined Barclays in 2003 as head of economics and market strategy from JPMorgan Chase where he was a managing director and global head of foreign exchange strategy. Prior to JPMorgan Chase, he spent seven years with Normandy Asset Management as chief market strategist and economist, where he was responsible for determining trading strategies. Prior to that he was chief economist for Europe at JP Morgan and before that was an economist with the Federal Reserve Board. He began his career as an assistant professor of economics at Lehigh University.

Mr. Kantor received his Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from Ohio State University.
