Katya Malinova

Katya Malinova, a leading researcher in blockchain and fintech, is the DeGroote School of Business as the Mackenzie Investments Chair in Evidence-Based Investment Management at McMaster University. Professor Malinova specializes in financial market microstructure, with her empirical work focused on Canadian equity markets. Professor Malinova received her Ph.D. in Economics from University of Michigan. She was Associate Professor in University of Toronto’s Department of Economics, and also served as co-director of the Master of Financial Economics program.
