Herbert Taylor, Ph.D.

Herb Taylor is secretary to the Federal Advisory Council, a group of leading bankers from each of the twelve Federal Reserve Districts that meets regularly with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System to consult and advise on matters under the Board’s jurisdiction.

Herb had previously served nearly 40 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, first in economic research, then in public affairs, and finally as corporate secretary.

Herb holds a B.A. in economics from La Salle University and a Ph.D. in economics from Temple University, where he is currently an adjunct professor in macroeconomics.

Herb was born and raised in the City of Philadelphia. He and his wife currently live in the Fitler Square neighborhood.
