Hank Alexander

Hank Alexander, Vice President Business Development, has had a long and successful career with Sunoco Logistics. Mr. Alexander progressed through Sunoco Logistics in a variety of engineering and operations roles. In 2006, Hank brought his expertise in the pipeline industry to Sunoco Logistics’ business development team. Since Hank has been in BD, he has not only been critical to the significant growth projects that SXL has undertaken but he is also an important member of the Sunoco Logistics Leadership team. His accomplishments have included NGL, crude oil and refined products growth projects. He is currently responsible for all commercial, strategic growth and revenue related activity for NGL and Refined Products assets of the company. He has developed the Mariner Projects—East and West—a comprehensive NGL takeaway solution for the Marcellus Shale basin. The projects involve pipelines to the Sarnia petrochemical complex and the Philadelphia area for further marine transport to international, Gulf Coast markets and beyond. He also developed the Mariner South Project, a joint project with Lone Star NGL to create a world class NGL import/ export facility in the US Gulf Coast combining Sunoco Logistics’ existing Nederland waterborne terminal and pipeline assets with Lone Star’s fractionation and storage complex in Mont Belvieu. Most recently, his team developed Mariner East 2, which is an expansion of the Mariner East service from the Utica and Marcellus Basins to the Marcus Hook Industrial Complex near Philadelphia.
Mr. Alexander holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Drexel University. He also completed Sunoco’s prestigious Wharton Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
