Daniel Miró

Daniel Alberto Miró graduated from St. George’s College in Quilmes, Argentina. Later he went on to the Catholic University of Argentina where he became a certified public accountant. He started working as chief economist at the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange in 1977. Several years later, he became the manager of economic affairs at the Oilseed Industry Chamber of Argentina. Now he is founder and president of Nóvitas S.A., an Agribusiness Consultancy Firm. Mr. Miró is also the main professor of the Commodities subject in the post graduate master studies at the UCEMA University in Buenos Aires and a professor of brokers training courses at the Rosario Grain Exchange. Mr. Miró has great experience as lecturer in his field. He has participated as speaker at the USDA Agricultural Outlook Conference in Washington DC (1988) and also at the Grain World Conference organized by the Canadian Wheat Board in Winnipeg (2001). He has also done important research work in the wheat and soybean markets for Farmers Entities in Argentina. He worked as Counsellor for several institutions like MERCOSUR, FAO, IDB (Interamerican Development Bank) and IICA (Interamerican Institute for Agricultural Cooperation). He also advised the Argentine Government at the Uruguay Round of WTO (1986-1994). Mr. Miró is a founder and active member of the Argentine Bio-fuels Association.
