Ann joined Mitchell Communications Group, the flagship PR Agency within the Dentsu-Aegis Network, as CFO in early 2017. In addition to her financial leadership, Ann brings a wealth of knowledge of retail and consumer products to Mitchell. In 2015, after 13 years of service as a finance executive, Ann retired from Walmart. During her tenure at Walmart, she served as CFO for Walmart’s Sam’s Club, CFO of Walmart’s Asia Region and also as Global Chief Audit Executive. Though Ann joined the Company in 2003 as Assistant Controller, she quickly proved herself as a broader business leader, leading the finance team for the US real estate function and then later leading the finance team supporting Walmart US store operations. Ann is known for her ability to build great teams and drive process improvement across the organization.
Ann has also been active in local entrepreneurial scene as she is a financial advisor to Now Diagnostics, an early-stage start-up with a patented approach that allows for specific medical conditions to be accurately diagnosed, quickly, with just one step.
Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Ann worked for Ernst & Young’s Assurance and Advisory Services Business where she served two Fortune 100 clients and other clients in the retail and consumer products industry. She also previously worked for Tyson Foods in a variety of finance and accounting positions.
Ann is active in the local community as well. She serves as the Chair of the University of Arkansas’ Sam M. Walton College of Business Dean’s Executive Advisory Board. She is also a member of the Washington Regional Medical Center Foundation and a charter board member of the the Thaden School. Ann is an active alumna of Delta Gamma Fraternity and is also a member of the International Women’s Forum.
Ann and her husband, Gene, live in Fayetteville, AR. They have two children.
