Eric Hale

Eric Hale is the Founder and CEO of Trader Oasis Holdings LLC, where he develops technology and analytical tools to help investors better understand options, market structure, and risk. For more than two decades, he has studied and taught financial markets, with a particular focus on options, macroeconomics, and disciplined risk management.

Before entering the financial industry, Eric spent more than 20 years in executive leadership roles in the electric power industry, leading strategy, business development, and technology initiatives. An engineer by training, he approaches markets through the lenses of probability, incentives, and complex systems, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies are reshaping investing and the global economy.

Eric serves on the Board of Directors of the Global Interdependence Center, helping advance dialogue among central bankers, economists, policymakers, and investment professionals. He is also President of As Good As Gold – Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois, where he combines nonprofit leadership with hands-on volunteer work in dog rescue and rehabilitation.

Eric is a regular participant in the Chicago Federal Reserve’s Annual Economic Outlook Symposium, where he has been recognized four times for forecasting accuracy. He is also a member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and the American Economic Association (AEA).

Outside of finance, Eric enjoys endurance cycling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, fly fishing, and traveling with his wife, Diane. They have three adult children and recently welcomed their first grandchild. The Hales live in Naperville, Illinois, with their three rescued retrievers.
