Event Detail

Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance: POSTPONED

GIC’s Pandemic Response Team has postponed our conference for February 24-25, 2022, in Sarasota, Florida.

The health and safety of GIC Members, guests, and speakers remain our top priority.  The decision to postpone the conference in Sarasota was based on several factors.  There are projections of rising infection rates in late January/early February, a low existing vaccination rate in Florida, and recent legislation by the State of Florida that conflicts with COVID-19 risk mitigation measures mandated by GIC.  The Pandemic Response Team used the same risk analysis used in other situations and determined the risk to the health and safety of the GIC Community is too great.

We plan to reschedule the conference later and look forward to keeping you updated as plans develop.  We sincerely hope you will consider joining us in the future.

February 24-25, 2022 marks another year GIC will travel to Sarasota, Florida for a conference in partnership with Cumberland Advisors and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. The two day conference will explore social and corporate governance and environmental changes through panel sessions on investments, emerging markets, women in the workforce, ESG municipal bonds, climate change impacts, and more.
