The Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation and the world’s fourth largest automaker based on worldwide vehicle sales. Ford Motor Company was recognized as one of the top American corporations on Diversity Inc’s list of Top 50 Companies for Diversity. During the recent economic downturn, Ford Motor Company has remained resilient. While other automotive companies began to falter in the wake of the economic storm, Ford remained strong, and fought the economic crisis head-on. The decision to decline TARP money when other automotive companies accepted has helped Ford in gaining momentum and successfully increasing its market share.
