We invite you to save the date of Monday, March 21, 2022 to join us for GIC’s upcoming conference in partnership with the Banque de France followed by our private roundtable discussion to be held on Tuesday, March 22 at the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée. Our public conference will include keynote remarks from James Bullard, Ph.D., the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Catherine Mann, Member of the Monetary Policy Committee, Bank of England, and François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France, plus additional speakers to be announced.

James “Jim” Bullard is the president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. In that role, he is a participant on the Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), which meets regularly to set the direction of U.S. monetary policy. He also oversees the Federal Reserve’s Eighth District, including activities at the St. Louis headquarters and its branches in Little Rock, Ark., Louisville, Ky., and Memphis, Tenn.

Dr Catherine L Mann joined the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England on 1 September 2021. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Economic Association, among others. Previously she was Chair of the Economic Advisory Committee of the American Bankers Association.

François Villeroy de Galhau

Governor, Banque de France

François Villeroy de Galhau is an ENA graduate and a former Inspector of Finance. In 1988, he joined the French Treasury (Africa desk, then Europe desk), then served as European advisor to the Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister (Pierre Bérégovoy) from 1990 to 1993. He held various posts at the French Treasury, then became financial advisor at the Permanent Representation of France in Brussels. From 1997 to 2000, he was chief of staff of the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industry (Dominique Strauss-Kahn then Christian Sautter). He was head of the General Tax Directorate from 2000 to 2003.
