The GIC is pleased to host this virtual briefing, on the Human Immune Response to SARS-CoV-2 and Emergence of Variants, with speaker, Michel Nussenzweig, M.D., Ph.D., Zanvil A. Cohn and Ralph M. Steinman Professor at The Rockefeller University. Nussenzweig’s laboratory studies the molecular aspects of the immune system’s innate and adaptive responses using a combination of biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics.

Michel Nussenzweig was born in Sao Paulo Brazil on February 10th 1955.  He received a B.S. summa cum laude from New York University in 1976, a Ph.D. degree from the Rockefeller University in 1981 and an M.D. degree from New York University Medical School in 1982.

She is the former Chief Economist of Huawei Technologies, Chief Economist of the American International Group (AIG) and AIG Asset Management’s Senior Strategist and Global Head of Sovereign Research. Prior to joining AIG in 2010, Kathleen was Chief Economist at Aladdin Capital Holdings, Credit Suisse’s Head of Global Economic Research, and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities Corporation’s co-head of Fixed Income economic research and Chief International Economist.
