Geopolitical and Economic Outlooks: Global Interdependence Center and Banque de France to Host Central Banking Series in Paris on June 28

June 26, 2024 (Paris, France) –– The Global Interdependence Center (GIC) is pleased to announce their upcoming Central Banking Series conference to explore Geopolitical and Economic Outlooks. The event, which will be held on June 28 in Paris, was planned in collaboration with the Banque de France and marks the 12th year of collaboration between the two organizations.

“Understanding the complex ways global politics and economics combine to shape our world has never been more vital,” said Jillian Fornito, Executive Director of the Global Interdependence Center. “We look forward to learning from the experts who are joining us to share their insights.”

Keynote remarks will be given by François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France, and Tom Barkin, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. This portion of the day will be livestreamed. (See below for details.)

The day will include panel discussions with the following experts:

  • Anna Rosenberg, Head of Geopolitics for Amundi Investment Institute
  • Dominique Moïsi, Senior Advisor, Institut Montaigne
  • Isabel Vansteenkiste, Director General DG International & European relations, European Central Bank
  • Alvaro Pereira, Chief Economist, OECD
  • Dave Altig, Sr. Vice President, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta

Panel discussions will be moderated by Kathleen Stephansen, Chair Emerita, Global Interdependence Center, and Olivier Garnier, Director General for Economics and International, Banque de France.
