Celebration of Interdependence
Be sure to join us for our Celebration of Interdependence each fall. Formerly known as the Annual Black Tie Gala, this event is GIC’s annual fundraiser. Proceeds of the Celebration enable us to provide programming consistent with our mission of encouraging global dialogue in order to improve cooperation and understanding among nations worldwide.
Our mission is a serious one, but our Celebrations are all about socializing and enjoyment. The historic Rittenhouse Hotel provides a beautiful, elegant venue for our affair. No longer a black tie event, the evening features fine food stations expertly paired with wine. Guests enjoy bidding on a diverse group of silent auction items and participating in our signature Mystery Wine Contest.
Each year, GIC selects a country to honor for their positive contribution to the global economy. The country serves as a theme for the evening’s cuisine and festivities. Recent honorees have included Sweden, Chile and France.
