Mr. Sullivan serves as chief economist and as a member of the Management Committee. He oversees the Bank’s research in monetary policy, banking and financial markets, microeconomics and regional economics.

Mr. Barboza holds a bachelor’s degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires and a master’s degree from Universidad del CEMA, and was in the executive finance program at the London Business School. With broad experience in government entities, he started his career at the Economics Ministry, where he worked in several positions, such as Finance Undersecretary for the Federal Government, Financial Representative for Europe based in London and director of Financial Information in the Public Credit Department. More recently, he worked at Argentina`s Central Bank as the principal reserve manager. As a manager of the economics department at Itaú BBA Argentina, he is responsible for macroeconomic analysis of Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Jorge Oviedo

Opinion Columnist, Diario La Nación

As a journalist specializing in economic issues, Mr. Jorge Oviedo has been in the reporting industry since 1979. Since 2001, he has been with the Diario La Nación, focusing primarily on economic topics. He currently serves as an opinion columnist for the newspapers. Prior to his current position, he was also the editor for the Economic Sunday Supplement of the newspapers from 2000 to 2009.

In addition, Mr. Oviedo also works for Radio del Plata, where he serves as an economic expert for the weekly radio show, Semanario Miltreinta. Prior to Radio del Plata, Mr. Oviedo also served as an on-air economic expert for the weekly TV show, Cuarto Poder. Mr. Oviedo has also worked at many other reporting agencies: he started off his professional career as a writer for Diario Los Andes, and he also worked as a writer for Noticias Argentinas News Agency, Diario Pagina / 12 and DyN News Agency respectively.

Mr. Oviedo completed his bachelor’s degree at the National University of Cuyo, where he majored in Drama in the School of Theater. He was also honored as a winner of the Citi Journalistic Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding business reporting around the world. Mr. Oviedo is an avid motor racing enthusiast; he was part of the winning team in the  2007 Racing 4 Real competition held in the United Kingdom.

Daniel Miró

Daniel Alberto Miró graduated from St. George’s College in Quilmes, Argentina. Later he went on to the Catholic University of Argentina where he became a certified public accountant. He started working as Chief Economist at the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange in 1977. Several years later, he became Manager of Economic Affairs at the Oilseed Industry Chamber of Argentina. Now he is founder and president of Nóvitas S.A., an Agribusiness Consultancy Firm. Mr. Miró is also the Main Professor of the Commodities subject in the post graduate Master Studies at the UCEMA University in Buenos Aires and a Professor of brokers training courses at the Rosario Grain Exchange. Mr. Miró has great experience as lecturer in his field. He has participated as Speaker at the USDA Agricultural Outlook Conference in Washington DC (1988) and also at the Grain World Conference organized by the Canadian Wheat Board in Winnipeg (2001). He has also done important research work in the wheat and soybean markets for Farmers Entities in Argentina. He worked as Counsellor for several institutions like MERCOSUR, FAO, IDB (Interamerican Development Bank) and IICA (Interamerican Institute for Agricultural Cooperation). He also advised the Argentine Government at the Uruguay Round of WTO (1986-1994). Mr. Miró is a founder and active member of the Argentine Bio-fuels Association
